VOCAB: BUILDING PART II

Heloo Monday, hello guys. Tidak terasa ya sudah kembali memasuki awal minggu di hari Senin. Gimana? vocab building part I nya sudah hafal belum? sudah mulai terbiasa dengan think in English?

Kita lanjut ke part II yuk,

1. MOSQUE = a building for Islamic religious activities and worship
2. TEMPLE = a building used for the worship of a god or gods in some religions.
3. CHURCH = a building for Christian religious activities.
4. CHAPEL = a room that is part of a larger building and is used for Christian worship.
5. BRIDGE = a structure that is built over a river or road so that people can go across it:
6. CEMETERY = a place where dead people are buried:
7. DAM=DIKE= a strong wall built across a river to stop the water and make a lake
8. DOME = a curved, round roof of a building
9. FORTRESS = a large, strong building or group of buildings that can be defended from attack
10. GATE = a part of a fence or outside wall that is fixed at one side and opens and closes like a door, usually made of metal or wooden strips
11. MONUMENT = a structure or building that is built to honour a special person or event
12. SQUARE = an area of approximately square-shaped land in a city or a town, often including the buildings that surround it
13. STATUE = an object made from a hard material, especially stone or metal, to look like a person or animal
14. TOMB = a large stone structure or underground room where someone, especially an important person, is buried
15. TOWER = a tall, narrow structure, often square or circular, that either forms part of a building or stands alone
